1 Contact to fix broken laptop Initiated by Paul Asiimwe

I  need someone good with hardware to take a look.

Call Seki 0772512021

Conclusion/ Remarks

Call Godfrey on 0701 455808 or 0772 455808.TECHMAN COMPUTER SOLUTIONS LTD located below Nandos.

2. GoTv. Initiated by Paddy Junior Asiimwe

Number of programs has reduced and the quality is getting poorer with on/off signal.

The number of stations have reduced from about 36 to 21. Besides DSTV and GoTv, any other good and reliable pay TV?

NBS, WBS, URBAN, CAPITAL, TOP, ITV, ...cannot be accessed. When will we stop flipping  from digital and back to analogue to enjoy these channels?

Conclusion/ Remarks

Is it that bad? There are also breaks with sister broadcaster DSTV during thunderstorms and it is likely to be the same technology used.

3. Uganda Won!!! at the recently concluded ICT4Ag International Conference in Rwanda!. Initiated by Pamela Kiria

With Ensibuuko agri-solution, Richard Zulu, Gerald Otim, David Opio and Winnie Mbabazi took the 5,000 euros prize money.

The teams that represented Uganda were selected after a rigorous national selection event that brought together 13 teams.

Conclusion/ Remarks

What next after winning the 5000 Euros?

4. Laptop tracker. Initiated by Margaret Sevume

How is a lost laptop recovered after the tracker has shown where it is? If it involves the police the hassle may not be worth it.

A  google search can bring you several results e.g     www.preyproject.com/ Free, proven tracking software that helps

you find, lock and recover your devices when stolen or missing.

Prey is compromised when the hard disk is reformatted. With the current IT skills in the country, it is like every one can format a computer and install a new OS.

Conclusion/ Remarks

Quick heal antivirus, has a laptop tracker. After purchase , you install and register the key then go

to www.trackmylaptop.net and fill out a form. The  Qquick heal server will keep the details, and in case your laptop is stolen, you contact them  through the authorized partner say in

Uganda and it will be black listed and locked.
