Eighty Ugandan Schools to connect to the Internet PDF Print E-mail

 

 Uganda's Communications Commission (UCC) is to spend over one million dollars (USD$1 million) to connect eighty secondary schools to the Internet. This was revealed by the UCC executive director Eng. Patrick Masambu in Kampala recently.   He said that this is one of the key targets to be achieved by the UCC by the 2010 according to a proposed telecommunications policy.
 "We are working with the Ministry of Education and Sports and have selected eighty schools that will be connected in the next financial year," said Eng. Patrick Masambu.
