Poor Countries Need to Embrace ICT - UN PDF Print E-mail

LAST week, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) released the 2007 Least Developed Countries Report, which emphasised that increased technology and innovation must lead the way to progress in the Least Developed Countries.

The list of Least Developed Countries (LDCs), which includes Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania, is comprised of 50 states, "officially identified by the United Nations as 'least developed' in the light of their low income, weak human assets, and high economic vulnerability" according to the UNCTAD.
