Special general meeting for I-Network members PDF Print E-mail

As happens at the end of every year, the I-Network Secretariat has organized a special general meeting for members of I-Network, to take place on Friday 12th December 2008, starting at 1:30pm at the Imperial Royale Hotel.
This once a year meeting is an opportunity for the members (currently just over 980) to meet face to face, and contribute to plans of the network for 2009. Other issues on the meeting agenda include:

  1. Proposal to set up an ICT consumer projection entity: A need for such an entity has been expressed repeatedly in discussions online; therefore I-Network would like to provide a platform to start it. I-Nettters James Wire Lunghabo and Paul Asimwe are spearheading this initiative, and will make a presentation.
  2. M&E members’ survey: an online survey of I-Network members was carried out from September 2007 to August 2008.  A report will be presented and discussed.
  3. Management of the discussion list: From time to time issues are raised on the discussion list regarding its management. Issues we would like to discuss will include:
  • Moderated vs free flowing discussion
  • Animation of list (initiating and catalyzing discussions)
  • Review rules governing use of the list
  • Admission to list
  • Documenting discussions from the list

4. Other I-Network activities, products and services:

  • Seminars; topics, venue, timing, etc
  • I-Network Newsletter
  • Internet Guide
  • I-Network website

A detailed meeting agenda will circulated in the coming days, in the meantime we urge you to set aside time to attend this once a year meeting.
Looking forward to see you all there;
Elisha Wasukira
Coordinator, I-Network Uganda
