Defintions for ban on old computers PDF Print E-mail

1. A Ban as recommended by government – You are in agreement with government and old computers should be banned from importation into the country for the benefit of our environment

2. A ban with considerations – You are in agreement with government that old computers should be banned from importation into the country but you would like government to put in place measures that make the ban worthwhile e.g. facilitate the private sector to manufacture computers locallyor ban the importation of computers older than pentium II

3. No ban with conditions – You disagree with government on the ban on old computers and would like to see government remove the ban and put in place conditions for importation of old computers that benefit the environment e.g. tasking importers and manufacturers to properly dispose of computers at the end of their life and set up of e-waste processing facilities.

4. No ban at all – You disagree with government on the ban and would like the importation of old computers to continue
