National Information Technology Authority set up PDF Print E-mail

31 August 2009 

The National Information Technology Authority (NITA) is now  a legal entity after the NITA-U Bill was passed into law mid August 2009. The NITA Act 2008 allows for the establishment of the National Information Technology Authority, Uganda and provides for its objects, functions, composition, management and finances; and other related matters.

Todate, a board of directors has been sworn into the office to guide the authority its work. More information on the functions of NITA and what members of I-Network's mailing list are saying about the new organisation can be found here.
