Wilbert Ikilai - ELECU ELECU has used a computer based program called World Starts With Me(WSWM), to educate young people especially females on sexual and reproductive health rights. The program has helped over 1000 girls make informed decisions on sexuality issues, control HIV/Aids spread and also, reduced cases of early pregnancies by about 70% in pilot schools . The schools taking part include Serere Secondary School, Orungo High in Amuria District and Bethany Girls in Soroti Municipality. This pilot is in partnership with Health Need Uganda(HNU) Church of Uganda ( COU) and CEREDO.
Yosia Baluku - RWECO At RIC-NET we are running a project to support the conflict affected girls by offering them ICT skills. These girls either dropped out of school due to war, lack of fees,or got pregnant. This effort aims at enabling them do something with their lives even when they did not complete their formal education, to earn a living.
