Police is a digitally challenged institution:  In this day and age of digital communication, does one need to have a hard copy as a way of authoring a document or proof of authoring one?

Monitor Publications Ltd:. Gone are the days when physical premises ruled in terms of media publishing. With all the alternative approaches to Disaster Recovery that I believe MPL should be subscribing to already, there should be no way for their operations to be totally halted like they seem to have.

Conclusion/ Remarks

Publishing and data storage [formats] have indeed evolved beyond what our elite police force might be thinking about!

MPL have  had some few articles coming through on their website.

8. Cabinet Reshuffle Initiated by Rogers Karebi

Minister for ICT was changed, what does it mean for the ICT Sector?

Flowers

Let's welcome Eng. John Nasasira to the Ministry of ICT and work with him for the improvement of our Sector.

Nasasira was once minister for Information & Telecommunications, He certainly has a background in ICT policy as ICT lay in that docket then.

Frowns

ICT sector is now DOOMED and is considered a political tool.

Conclusions/Remarks

ICT ministry needs a dot com person.

WE ALL have a role to play in making things work.

Where is Ham Mulira? We may need him back.

Can anyone profile and suggest a candidate who would harmonise all and sundry!?

The Canadian Minister for Industry which includes the ICT docket is a Corporate lawyer…….One thing Ugandans excel at is criticizing their government!!!

If he is willing to listen & take on the private sector like(former minister) Rugunda, we can accomplish more than having some bright young minister that won’t command the president’s respect.
