1. MultiChoice discrepancies Initiated by Nelson Kituuka and Emma Mugarura

Subject: MultiChoice call centres, Discount offer for DStv Subscription, Multichoice robbed me of 200k!

“Please do not fall for their (MultiChoice) claims that they give discounts when you pay by mobile money as the day you will claim the discount they will keep cutting you off every night thereafter claiming you have not paid the full amount.”

“Why do I have to be charged when I call customer care MultiChoice?”

“How come I do not get some local channels (using the DSTV decoder)? And they all go off when I delay subscription.”

“I was cheated but I wonder why two technicians were sent to my home and why MultiChoice can’t give receipts or even facilitate their staff as an after sales service?”

Conclusion/ Remarks

“We (MulltiChoice Mgt.) apologize for any inconveniences suffered on account of any representation by agent or on any forum or occasion that a discount offer is in effect for subscription payments made via Mobile money or any other platform.

Kindly note that the discount offer determined on the 31st of August 2013 having ran for year to the end.

A new incentive scheme is being firmed up and will be communicated in due course but notice was given of the determination of the 10% discount offer.

I wish  to add that we are not promoting or communicating any such offer on any forum and would like to ask the concerned customer to advise us where such communication may have been given or is being published for us to address the misrepresentation.”
